Bullet Tooth has quickly carved out a name in the UK electronic scene since first uploading music to SoundCloud in early 2023. Known for blending UK garage and house, as well as his distinctive anonymous look of a balaclava and technical outerwear, the project has developed a world that feels entirely his own.
We caught up with him to talk about the origins of Bullet Tooth, standout moments like his Boiler Room set in Bristol, and life on the road.
First off, take us back to the very beginning, where did the origins of bullet tooth first begin?
I think the first release was on Soundcloud around February 2023. At the time I thought nothing of it but things snowballed pretty quickly and I landed my first gig in August of that year.
Styling a balaclava, bucket hat and technical jacket has become a distinctive part of your visual identity, almost a brand of their own. What draws you to that look, and is there a specific reason you choose to keep your identity anonymous?
The balaclava is for a reason, I value my privacy. I like to tap into my world of bullet tooth and tap out, I don’t care about fame or popularity online. As for everything else I wear, that’s just what I’m into, I love fashion and think it’s a cool way for people to express themselves.

Reflecting on your journey so far: what’s the one set you look back on that felt like a big turning point or even just a real personal moment of gratitude?
The obvious one would be the Boiler Room in Bristol, that was a game changer for my career but was at a time where I was still finding my sound somewhat, I found it quite overwhelming when it came out as well. I had no idea whatsoever that it would go on to do what it did.
Another one that stands out to me was playing at Hï for Damian Lazarus back in 2024, it was my first gig on the island, I had a big group of friends and family with me and it felt like a real special moment for myself and everyone I was with.
Touring must get pretty hectic when you’re out on the road with back to back sets, how do you like to take time out to relax or clear your mind?
Good question. It’s very intense at times and can definitely take its toll. To prevent any sort of burnout I almost always play sober, don’t hang around at the venue before or after my set and try run or workout where possible, sounds boring but that’s what works for me.

When people think of Bullet Tooth, they will likely associate you with UKG, but are there any genres you don’t necessarily mix or produce that you still find yourself listening to a lot?
If you know me as an artist you’ll know that I’ve released a lot of different music over the years. I don’t like being put into a box and being labelled as one thing, I make what I want and DJ that way as well. Outside of what I produce and mix I mainly listen to soul, funk, rare groove and hip hop.
